Cristian Zapata set to join Genoa
AC Milan`s defender Cristian Zapata chose his next club. As our sources confirm Cristian has found agreement with Genoa. Even though Sampdoria seemed to be the biggest contender for his signature, Genoa won the race. The Colombian defender is expected to sign the deal with Genoa in the next few hours. Cristian Zapata will join Genoa as free agent, because his contract with AC Milan is set to expire at the end of the month.
The 32 year old defender has been in AC Milan since 2012, when he arrived from the Spanish club Villareal. In the past 7 years Zapata appeared 148 times for AC Milan. He managed to score 5 goals, and assist additional 6.
