Simon Kjaer will not get permanent transfer to AC Milan?!
Today we receive update on AC Milan’s mercato. As we understand one of the players which is currently on loan in AC Milan could not get permanent deal.
Simon Kjaer arrived in AC Milan as replacement for Mattia Caldara, on loan from Atalanta. However the club which owns his contract is the La Liga side Sevilla. The rossoneri have buy-out option which they could activate at the end of the season, when Simon’s deal with Milan expires.
However as the Italian media report this is far from happening. As we understand Milan’s management is not fully satisfied with the performances of the Danish defender and most likely he will return in Sevilla at the end of the season.
Another factor which could influence Milan’s decision to not buy Kjaer is the emergence of the young defender Matteo Gabbia. Gabbia got chances to play by Pioli in the last few games when he impressed everyone. These displays could persuade Milan’s coach and manage to put more faith in him, and count him as regular defender for next season.
