Zlatan effect: Milan undefeated since Ibrahimovic returned
The legendary Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to AC Milan on 02 January 2020, after almost 8 years. Before his return the rossoneri were in very bad shape, and they had lost any hope to qualify for the European competitions next seasons. Their form and the mentality of the players could have been seen on the last Serie A game with Atalanta (before Zlatan’s return), which Milan lost 5-0.

However since Ibrahimovic returned to the club everything has changed. The rossoneri have played 6 games and won 5 of them (if we count yesterday’s 4-2 game as win) while 1 ended 0-0. As one of the main reasons for this turn-around is nobody else but Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

After the good run of form AC Milan is now only 2 points behind the second position which leads to Europa League. However they are 10 points behind the 4th placed Roma, a difference that with another run of good games be annulled.

With his enormous experience and leadership Ibrahimovic makes all players that play alongside him better as well. This can be seen in the great performances of Leao , Calhanoglu , Castillejo and even Franck Kessie . One thing is sure under Zlatan effect, AC Milan is still undefeated in 2020.
