Maldini: There is still possibility to qualify to Champions League
AC Milan’s legendary captain and current director of sport spoke to the Italian media in front of the Coppa Italia semi-finals . Paolo gave his opinon on few topics, among which the current project of the club:
We are making steps which prove our growth, last year we finished fifth, one point behind Champions League. Our idea is to improve that result. There is still possibility to do this, we still have many opportunities to change our season. Besides this we are creating younger squad.
Maldini also spoke on AC Milan’s more experienced players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Simon Kjaer:

Kjaer and Ibra give us confidence, but perhaps it is too early for our young players to show their growth. If Ibra surprises me? Yes. He is always a champion in every game wherever he played in the world. From a physical point of view even if he trained alone it is difficult to return to a league like the Italian and to resume playing after two and a half months of inactivity.
